Barrel Estate

Our Story

Alfred Wilmore established the first vineyard of Barrel Estate, producing 8,386 bottles of wine. Through family inheritance, James Wilmore took over the winery management.

Signed agreement with Australian 'VINPAC', introduced new equipment, improving production efficiency and quality. Annual export volume reached 20 million bottles, with improved sterilization techniques addressing transportation and fermentation issues.

Barrel Estate ranked among the top three outstanding exporters in South Australia, with 10.4 million bottles.

Barrel Estate repeatedly won global wine awards. The estate established a brand partnership with Wilsford Group.

The winery was rated as a 5-star winery and among the Top 10 Black Horse Wineries by James Halliday. Export volume exceeded 8.2 million bottles in 2017.

Business expanded to Southeast Asia and the United States. In 2024, Barrel Estate wines were selected as the official wine for the Chinese-Australian Film Festival.
